The following are some hints for using Election Database for the first time:-
- to look at election results, select View from the initial menu. Press the
Step button a few times to watch the election counts progress. Press the Zap!
button to speed through the election counts. Use the Mode menu option to try different
views of the election results.
- the system defaults to the Dail 1997 election results. To view the 1998
Northern Ireland Assemply elections, use the Switch menu option on the View
window.
- try out the spreadsheet. From the spreadsheet window, select File/Copy to
copy in the election results for a constituency. The transfer percentages
are calculated automatically. Select the Run menu option to view the election
result. Minimise or close the view window to return to the spreadsheet. Try
changing a candidate's first preference vote and select Run again.
